What Is Webcasting

I just learned about this interesting internet process. It is called webcast. What it is, is a way to stream a live image and video over the internet to multiple receivers. We live, kind of far remote from the family and so we used it to webcast our kids birthday, that we went to a lot of effort to have it live. All we had to do was inform everyone we wanted to share this occasion, of the time we broadcast it and they just tuned in on their computers. The nice thing is we could have recorded the party, or any other event, and broadcasted it at some other time of our choice.
